Two Thriving Organizations Become One:

Health Connected and My Digital TAT2 join together

under the umbrella of Health Connected

Dear Friends,

We are thrilled to share that Health Connected, a sexual health education organization, and My Digital TAT2, a digital literacy and well-being organization, are combining our strengths to more powerfully and effectively support young people as they navigate the intertwined challenges of relationships and technology in the 21st century.

For several years, we have operated as peers with a shared commitment to supporting young people’s health and well-being. The more we worked together, the more we appreciated just how interconnected sexual health education and digital literacy and well-being are in the lives of young people—and as a result, how connected our organizations should be.

Young people do not live their lives in silos. At Health Connected and My Digital TAT2, we understand that youth lead complex lives in which the distinctions between their online and in-person experiences are becoming increasingly blurred. For young people, mental, digital, physical, and sexual health are more interdependent than ever.

As of March 1, 2025, we will operate as one organization, Health Connected, with a combined staff and board; My Digital TAT2 will operate as a program within Health Connected. By uniting two thriving organizations, we aim to create a strong, flexible, sustainable model capable of meeting the needs of youth and their communities for years to come.

Moving forward, we will connect and complement each other’s expertise so that what we offer is greater than the sum of our two organizations. Together, we will be more strongly positioned to ensure youth have the resources, tools, and support they need to negotiate the intersections of technology, relationships, and health and make thoughtful decisions about their overall wellbeing.

In this new configuration, Health Connected will offer distinct sexual health education and digital literacy and well-being programming, while exploring new services that build on our past collaborations to address the ways in which sexual health and digital literacy overlap. With access to a wider array of programming, our partners can more efficiently and effectively meet core standards and respond to the evolving priorities of youth, educators, and families.

We invite you to reach out to us with any questions (you can see our FAQ here) about what this means for our existing relationships and contracts, or the ways in which the merging of our organizations creates exciting new partnership opportunities. While effective March 1, not everything will change overnight. We appreciate your patience and support as we fine-tune administration and programming.

Please share our news with your colleagues and friends, and join us in celebrating the coming together of our two organizations at our May 2nd Community Gathering (tickets can be purchased here). We are excited to offer more expansive programming for the health and well-being of youth and their communities well into the future.

Warmly,

Abi Karlin-Resnick Alex LeeNatali

P.S. Read on to hear from My Digital TAT2’s co-founders, Gloria Moskowitz-Sweet and Dr. Erica Pelavin.

Dear old and new friends of My Digital TAT2,

Given so many disheartening developments in the news these days, we are so pleased to have something to celebrate right now! In March, My Digital TAT2, the organization we co-founded, will join with one of My Digital TAT2’s long-time partners, Health Connected, to become one powerful, visionary organization. We couldn’t be more thrilled.

We founded My Digital TAT2 back in 2012 to support young people, caregivers, and educators to better understand and navigate the digital world. As a psychologist and clinical social worker, we saw that online bullying was becoming a troubling phenomenon, and that young people and adults did not know where to turn. We created programs grounded in young people’s lived experiences and connected youth to guidance and non-judgmental support from adults. Since then, My Digital TAT2 has grown into a dynamic, thriving organization that has served 55,000 students, parents, youth program providers, and mental health providers. We are deeply indebted to the staff and board of My Digital TAT2 who have built on and extended our original vision for an organization that would promote a safe, ethical, and kind digital world for the benefit of young people and their communities.

My Digital TAT2 is once again thoughtfully adapting as the experiences of youth continue to evolve. To echo what My Digital TAT2 and Health Connected have said, young people’s mental, digital, physical, and sexual health are increasingly interdependent. Their worlds are constantly in flux, requiring them—and their adult allies—to be flexible and adjust.

Together, My Digital TAT2 and Health Connected are rising to the challenge. By building on their past collaborations and combining the strengths of two organizations into one, Health Connected, with My Digital TAT2 as a key program, will be able to meet young people where they are at today. Together, they can expand young people’s access to digital literacy and well-being programs as well as sexual health education, while simultaneously exploring services that address the ways in which these critical issues intersect

We are so excited about the opportunities that lie ahead for My Digital TAT2. We hope you will join us in congratulating My Digital TAT2 and Health Connected as they come together as one organization with expanded expertise to support youth in navigating technology, relationships, and their health well into the future

Warmly,

Erica Pelavin Gloria Moskowitz-Sweet
